How did Kaka slip from Man City's grasp?
Kaka is staying with AC Milan, but last week it seemed Manchester City were set to smash the world transfer record.
Wednesday 14 January: Reports emerge that a City delegation, including executive chairman Garry Cook, have travelled to Milan for talks over a £100m bid and a weekly wage of £500,000 for Kaka.
The Brazilian is contracted at San Siro until 2013, but a report on Mediaset, a website of Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi, says City want Kaka "at all costs".
Following Robinho's September £32.5m move to Eastlands, Kaka's spokesman Diogo Kotscho warns City: "Kaka wouldn't do anything based on money."
Although AC Milan confirm talks have taken place, Kaka says: "My aim is to become in the future the captain of this team. I want to grow old at Milan."
Kaka's advisor Diogo Kotscho says he is open to offers from City and his player knows about the offer.
