Plant Care

Watering:
Philodendron 'Prince of Orange' enjoys regular watering, but it's crucial to let the top inch or so of the soil dry out before watering again. Keep the soil consistently moist during the growing season, spring through summer, but avoid letting the plant sit in standing water. In the colder months, reduce watering frequency while ensuring the plant doesn't dry out completely. We recommend measuring the moisture of the soil with a moisture meter.

Light:
Provide your Philodendron 'Prince of Orange' with bright, indirect light for optimal growth. It thrives in medium to bright indoor spaces but avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate leaves. If the leaves start becoming pale or bleached, it might be an indication that the light is too intense.

Fertilizing:
During the active growing season (spring and summer), feed your Philodendron 'Prince of Orange' with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks. Dilute the fertilizer to half strength to avoid over-fertilization, which can lead to salt buildup. In the dormant months, reduce or halt fertilization as the plant's growth slows down.

Repotting:
As your Philodendron 'Prince of Orange' grows, it might outgrow its current container. Repot the plant every 1-2 years, preferably in the spring. Choose a slightly larger pot and use a well-draining potting mix. Gently remove the plant from its current container, inspect the roots, and trim any damaged or overly long roots. Place it in the new pot, fill with fresh soil, and water thoroughly. Be cautious not to choose a pot that's excessively large, as Philodendrons prefer a snug environment.
