Finished second on Boston College’s career doubles list with 58 … ranked on seven other career record lists including games started (tied fifth – 188), at bats (sixth – 716), walks (tied eighth – 93), games played (tied eighth – 190), reached base safely (ninth – 295), sacrifice flies (tied ninth – 9) and strikeouts (second – 152) … hit 21 doubles in 2015 which is tied for fourth on BC’s single-season list.
 
AS A SENIOR (2017)

Earned New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-New England Second-Team honors … one of four BC players to start all 57 games this season, making 56 starts in centerfield and one in left … led the Eagles with 66 hits … second on the team with a .301 batting average, 32 RBIs and 84 total bases … tied for the team lead with seven sacrifice hits … third for doubles (13), walks (24), a .384 slugging percentage and a .377 on-base percentage … also recorded 30 runs, seven stolen bases and three hit by pitches … registered a .993 fielding percentage, making one error in 151 chances … eight outfield assists tied for sixth in the country … led the team with 17 multiple-hit games and second with seven multiple-RBI games … one of six BC players to record three runs in a game, a team season high, and one of four BC players to tally seven total bases in a single game … 12-for-16 (.750) with a runner on third and less than two outs … second on the team with 11 two-out RBIs … scored the game-winning run three times and drove it in twice … put together a season-long, eight-game hit streak from Feb. 27 to March 11, racking up 11 hits, five runs and seven RBIs … registered a .272 batting clip in ACC contests, recording 28 hits, including five doubles and a triple, 12 runs, 11 RBIs, 12 walks and five sacrifice hits … recorded six hits, two runs and four walks in the 2016 postseason … second on the team with a .364 batting clip in the Coral Gables Super Regional, going 4-for-11 with three walks … went 1-for-3 with a walk in the victory over the No. 3 seed Hurricanes (6/11), forcing a third and decisive game … led the Eagles with a 3-for-4 performance in the Super Regional opener (6/10), doubling and scoring a run … recorded a walk and hit in the Oxford Regional Championship game against No. 15 Tulane (6/5) … also went 1-for-4 with a run and RBI in the regional opener against the Green Wave (6/3) … tied a career high with four hits in five at bats at No. 22 Georgia Tech (5/21), tallying a double, walk and run … also went 2-for-4 with an RBI and double in the second game of the doubleheader sweep of the Yellow Jackets, helping the Eagles advance to the ACC Tournament … tied a team season high with three stolen bases against Niagara (5/15) in a 3-for-5 day, scoring three times, driving one in and doubling … tallied two hits in each game of the doubleheader sweep of Wake Forest (5/7), notching two RBIs, a double and a triple in the first contest … drew three walks and scored twice in the series opener against the Demon Deacons (5/6) … went 1-for-3 with a double against Bryant (4/27) … turned in a 1-for-2 day with a run, RBI, walk and sac hit in the series-opening win over No. 4 Louisville (4/22) … recorded a career day at Harvard (4/12), driving in a career and team season-high six RBIs in a 4-for-5 outing … tied the game in the bottom of the 10^th with a bases-loaded double, helped the Eagles eventually earn the series victory over No. 16 Virginia (4/10) … went 3-for-6 on the day against the Cavs … plated three runs on a 3-for-5 day with a lead-off home run and a double at Massachusetts (3/30) … went 3-for-5 in the final game at No. 19 Clemson (3/20) … doubled twice, scored a run and drove one in against Central Michigan (3/8) … went 2-for-4 with two RBIs against Ohio State (3/6) …. scored two run in a 1-for-3 day with an RBI and walk in the series finale against Northern Illinois (2/21) … went 2-for-2 with a run and two walks against the Huskies in game three (2/20).
 
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015)
Started all 54 games … one of two BC players to start all games in 2015 … played 35 in centerfield, 17 at first base, one in right and one as the designated hitter … fourth on the team with a .296 batting average to go along with 30 runs, 61 hits – including 21 doubles, a triple and two home runs – 28 RBIs, 20 walks, four sacrifice flies and was 6-for-8 on the stolen base path … second on the Eagles with a .437 slugging percentage and third with a .379 on-base percentage … first on the team for multiple-hit games (17), total bases (90), at bats (206) and total plate appearances (241), second in runs, walks and sac flies and tied for fourth in stolen bases … tied for first in the Atlantic Coast Conference for doubles and ranked first in the league with 0.39 doubles per game … also notched five multiple-RBI games … tied for the team lead with three outfield assists and recorded a .988 fielding percentage, making three errors in 241 chances … started the season with a nine-game hit streak to bring career-long streak to 10 games with 14 hits, including eight doubles, five runs, six RBIs and three walks … reached base in 18 straight games from March 15 to April 12, logging 22 hits, including five doubles, 16 runs, 12 RBIs and 17 walks … logged 20 hits, including four doubles, nine RBIs and 12 runs in ACC action … finished the season tallying a hit in eight of the final 11 games … had a 2-for-4 day with a run, RBI and outfield assist in the victory over Maine (5/12) … went 4-for-6 with three RBIs, two doubles, two walks and a stolen base in the two-game series against Hartford (4/9-10) … was 3-for-4 with two runs, an RBI and a double in the win at Rhode Island (4/28) … registered a career-high three runs on a 2-for-4 day with a double, RBI, walk and stolen base against Harvard (4/15) .. went 4-for-12 in the three-game series at Wake Forest (4/3-5) with three runs – one in each game – four RBIs, two walks and first career home runs in back-to-back games (4/3 & 4/4) … recorded a career-high four hits and first career triple in a 4-for-5 outing in the win over Massachusetts (4/1) with a run and two doubles … went 3-for-5 with two runs and a double against Connecticut (3/31) … tied a career high with a five-RBI game at Northeastern (3/24), going 2-for-4 with a run, double and two sacrifice flies, tying the team’s season high …  went 2-for-3 with a run, walk and outfield assist at No. 8 Louisville (3/15) … turned in a 3-for-5 performance with a run and double against Villanova (3/2) … went 4-for-12 in the three-game series at No. 2 LSU … tied the team season high with three doubles on a 3-for-6 day against Xavier (2/14), driving in two runs.
 
AS A FRESHMAN (2014)
Played in 27 games, making 23 starts in left field and two as the designated hitter ... also made five appearances on the mound ... HITTING: Recorded a .237 batting average with 22 hits, 11 runs, 14 RBIs and 13 walks ... third on the team with a .376 slugging percentage and 13 doubles ... fifth with a .327 on-base percentage ... also recorded four multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI games ... batted .234 in ACC action with 15 hits, six runs and eight RBIs ... 10 doubles in league play tied for fourth in the ACC at the end of the regular season ... registered two four-game hit streaks ... was 5-for-8 with a runner on third and less than two outs ... recorded a season-high two runs in the final game of the season at No. 25 Clemson (5/17) ... went 2-for-4 with a double against Maine (5/13) ... tallied a two-run double against Maryland (3/25) ... went 2-for-4 with a run, two RBIs, two doubles and two walks in the Eagles’ 11-inning, 9-7 victory at NC State (4/20) ... recorded a career-high and tied a team season-high five RBIs while tallying a season-high three hits in four at bats in the 10-inning victory over UMass-Lowell (4/16) ... RBIs were also first of career ... first collegiate hit was a double in 1-for-1, pinch-hitting performance against Wake Forest (3/22) ... PITCHING: Allowed 13 hits, six runs –all earned – one walk and struck out five over 4.1 innings of relief work ... tallied a 12.46 ERA ... recorded first career strikeout in first collegiate outing, a two-inning relief performance at Santa Clara (2/16), allowing four hits, one run and no walks.
 
BEFORE BC
A three-year varsity member on St. Francis … the Lancers earned a share of the West Catholic Athletic League title each of those years (2011-13) … garnered WCAL First-Team All-League honors in 2012 and 2013, as well as the Daily News Third-Team All-Region honors in 2012 … captained the Lancers senior year … St. Francis won the Division 1 Central Coast Section (CCS) title, finished as the ranked No. 1 in Northern California and No. 2 in the state of California and were nationally ranked between fifth and 14^th in major polls … as a senior, earned WCAL and CSS Player of the Year Awards, the Bay Area Player of the Year Award, Mercury News First-Team and Player of the Year Award, the Diamond Dozen Award, given to the top players in the area,  Louisville Slugger 2013 High School All-American Second-Team honors, MaxPrep California Large School All-American honors, CalHiSports First-Team All-California, MaxPrep Baseball All-American Second-Team honors, named to the Rawlings Gold Glove Team and was named a finalist for CalHiSports Baseball Player of the Year … in 13 appearances, registered an 11-1 record with one save, seven complete games, five shutouts, a 1.30 ERA and 79 strikeouts over 80 innings … pitched a perfect game in the first round of the 2013 CCS Division 1 playoffs, needing only 66 pitches to complete the effort … batted .417 with a .476 on-base percentage and a .556 slugging percentage as a senior, racking up 22 RBIs and 29 runs.

Graduated with a communication degree from the College of Arts and Sciences … Michael is the younger of Mark and Kathy Strem’s two children.
