This Mercury Eight got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1949 Mercury Eight Coupe was sold new by Park Motor Lincoln-Mercury of Detroit, Michigan and was purchased by the seller in 2012, reportedly from the family of its original owner. The car is finished in metallic tan over a green and tan interior and powered by a 255ci V8 paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes rear fender skirts, bench seats, a heater, whitewall tires, and pop-out rear windows. Work since 2019 included a carburetor overhaul, a replacement fuel sending unit, and an oil change and chassis lubrication. This Mercury Eight is now offered with service records from current ownership, an original sales invoice and other purchase documents, period literature, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

Paint imperfections can be seen in the gallery.
