English: Blazon:„Azure, a two-parted fess embattled Argent in the base on the left bordure; out of the right of the upper embattlement a langued gules horse courant issuant Or.“
The arms were officially granted on April 28, 1966. The horse in the arms is taken as a symbol as Bramberg is a center of horse breeding. The silver part, officially described as a part of a castle wall, is taken from the arms of the Lords of Wenns, who lived in the village in Medieval times. Deutsch: Blasonierung:„In Blau zwei aufragende silberne (weiße) Zinnen, die linke höher und am Schildrand anstoßend. Aus der rechten Seite der höheren Zinne wachsend ein goldenes (gelbes) springendes rotbezungtes unfrisiertes Pferd.“ Das Wappen wurde der Gemeinde von der Salzburger Landesregierung am 28. April 1966 verliehen. Es symbolisiert das alte Schlachtross Fjuri des Ritters Bart vom Küniglberg. Das Ross war 1376 einer Sage nach einer mit dem Ritter durchzechten Nacht in das Wildkogelgebiet geritten und durch ein Wunder nach mehreren Tagen vergoldet zurückgekommen und so zu einer der ergiebigsten Goldminen der Hohen Tauern geworden. Ritter Bart hingegen wurde nie wieder gesehen. Das Pferd ziert auch das Wappen der Herren von Weyer. Die Zinnen stehen für die Burg der einflussreichen Herren von Wenns. |
