Deutsch: Die röm.-kath. Franziskuskirche, eigentlich Kapelle zum hl. Franz von Assisi, in der burgenländischen Bezirkshauptstadt Oberpullendorf. Ursprünglich 1707 als Kapelle zu Ehren der Jungfrau Maria errichtet und damit ältestes Gebäude der Stadt Oberpullendorf. 1736 ließ Emmerich Madarász einen neuen Hochaltar mit Altarbild, welches den hl. Franziskus darstellt, errichten. 1785 wurde die Kapelle umgebaut und erhielt einen Turm mit Zwiebelhelm. |
