Gasen L. Sparrow
Gasen L. Sparrow, age 44, of Carthage, Illinois, died on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in the home of his sister in Carthage. He was born on October 5, 1979 in Quincy, IL. Gasen worked at the Casey’s in Carthage. He loved art and painted the mural that is outside the I & I Tavern in Quincy.
Gasen is survived by:
HIS MOTHER: Cinthia Otten (Robin) of West Point, IL
HIS FATHER: Eldon Sparrow of Quincy
SIBLINGS: Michael Stambaugh (Shelley); Lee Stambaugh (Brenda); Brandy Sparrow (Tony Hundley); Trisha Johnson (David); Levi Casey and Breezy Sparrow (Ricky Goldizen).
Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Gasen was preceded in death by his step-mother: Jody Sparrow.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Gasen’s life will take place at the VFW post 5117, 29 North Madison, Carthage, IL on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at 11:00 AM. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He will be greatly missed. Jay was friendly to everyone who came across him. He was a great brother and uncle ❤️. But he is with grand parents, aunt’s and uncle’s
