Operating principle

Anauran has a local anesthetic as well as an antimicrobial effect; therefore, this remedy is required by ENT doctors and is applied topically. After treatment of the ear canal, the drug has a bactericidal effect against many types of bacteria, and also reduces pain. The drug acts on staphylococci, shigella, proteus, E. coli, streptococci, salmonella, pseudomonads and other microorganisms.

Indications

Most often, Anauran is discharged with otitis. In this case, the medicine is also in demand in case of inflammation of the outer ear in acute or chronic form, and in acute otitis media, if no perforation has yet occurred. Anauran can also be treated for otitis media with a chronic course (exudative form). Prescribed this medicine in the postoperative period, when an operation on the ear and purulent complications occurred.

At what age is it allowed to take?

Anauran is prescribed to children older than a year. The use of this medicine for children of the first year of life is possible, but only under the supervision of a physician and if there are strict indications.

Contraindications

The only contraindication to treatment with Anauran in the instructions for use of such a drug is the intolerance of any component of such a drug.

Side effects

In some cases, the use of Anauran leads to local allergic reactions.which are shown by peeling of the skin, its redness or severe itching. The systemic effect of the drug is not observed when observing the recommended terms of treatment, because Anauran is used in the ear in a fairly low dosage. However, systemic side effects due to very long treatment are still possible. They manifest themselves due to the nephro and ototoxic effect of neomycin present in the composition of the drug.

Instructions for use and dosage

Anauran should only be used topically, buried in the ear with a pipette. When the drug is introduced into the ear canal, the head of a small patient should be held in a tilted position for a while.

A single dosage of Anaurana for children is 2 or 3 ear drops. The medicine is dropped into the ear up to 4 times a day, depending on the pathology, and the duration of therapy is up to 7 days.

These are average recommendations for treatment with Anauran, but in childhood for more accurate dosage and proper instillation regimen (how often and how many days to drip) it is worth consulting with an ENT doctor. If the infection is very persistent or difficult, the doctor will prescribe other antibiotics that are taken by mouth.

Overdose

No cases of a negative reaction to an overdose of Anauran have been noted, but with very long-term use of this drug, bacteria develop resistance, which is dangerous with bacterial complications.

The tool can not be prescribed and used with antimicrobials such as Streptomycin, Amikacin, Gentamicin, Monomitsin and Netilmitsin. These antibiotics have an ototoxic effect, which, when combined with Anauran, will increase.

Anauran packaging must be placed in a place where a small child is unable to reach. The optimal air temperature for storing this medication is called + 15 + 25 degrees Celsius. Since the release of the drug is valid for 3 years and can not be used after the end of this period.

Reviews

On the use of Anauran in diseases of the ears in children respond mostly well. Moms like that the medication bottle is large, the pipette is quite comfortable, and the drug works fairly quickly. Many parents note that after the first instillation of pain, the crumbs disappeared after 10 minutes. Among the shortcomings in the reviews most often mentioned is the rather high price of the drug.

Analogs

If it is not possible to use Anauran, the medicine may be replaced with another medicine with a similar effect. When otitis in children, it is permissible to use such means instead of Anauran:

  • Otipaks. This French medicine contains lidocaine, as well as phenazone, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent. The drug relieves pain and reduces the appearance of inflammation. It is permissible to bury him from birth.
  • Otinum. The main component of such a Polish drug is choline salicylate, so the main effect of Otinum treatment is anti-inflammatory. The tool is appointed from 1 year.
  • Otyrelax. This Romanian medicine is an analogue of Otipaksa, because it contains the same active substances. Drops can be used for otitis from birth.
  • Otofa. These French-made ear drops contain antibiotic rifamycin, therefore, the indications for their use are the same as those of Anauran. The medicine is permissible to drip and very small children, but at the age of up to one year, such treatment should be monitored by a doctor.
  • Polydex. As part of such a French drug, antibiotics are present, which Anauran contains, but the lidocaine in Polydex is replaced by the glucocorticoid hormone. Indications and contraindications for this remedy are similar to Anauran. It can be instilled from birth, but the tiniest patients require medical supervision.
