Initially an easy hike, but increasingly steep and partly exposed. In the summit area exposed climbing areas up to difficulty ridge II, partly steel rope insurances.

Description
The name Polinik comes, like many of our mountain names, from the Slavic and means as much as Mittagsberg.
This is how often conspicuous mountains were named, over which the sun stands for lunch, thus in the south.
From this it can be concluded that he was "baptized" from Obervellach, while his German-speaking little brother and neighbor summit, the Mittagsspitz, might have received this name from Flattach.
In any case, it is worth setting off early in the morning to perhaps have our lunch snack on this impressive mountain.
