Such a beautiful and delicious cake … but where did it come from? Why did the robots steal it? You must help Frank the Friendly Furball take back the cake. It’s far too precious!

Test your wits in Take the Cake, a puzzle platformer that challenges you to help a friendly furball retrieve his stolen cake from evil robots. Built around physics and color-changing abilities, the game lets you interact with a handmade rocket, change the furball’s color, and fight bosses to progress through 27 levels across five different environments. Can you help Frank retrieve his cake before it’s too late?

Thank you very much for your feedback and support!

Looks cool. I'll check out the demo when I get a chance. I like the art style.

The demo is lots of fun. It gives a good sample of the gameplay and showcases the artwork nicely. I highly recommend trying it.

@Kuny: you've done a fantastic job with this. The puzzles seem clever, and the artwork and overall visual style really shines. Great use of transparency and glow effects to create a fun immersive environment. I'm curious what rendering software you used to create some of the sprites and other resources in the game. (I assume many of them were pre-rendered.)

I plan to play more of the demo levels. Good fun so far. Nice job on this.

Hi!
Thank you. It is great motivation to hear that. :) Sprites like robot and cake are made in Adobe Flash Pro CS5. I bought it a lot of years ago to create flash games. :D Platforms (all those glow effects) are rendered in game itself. When you start level, the game renders all platforms (all sizes) in white color so I can blend it in any color I wish.
It was a little bit of challenge to make this really fast, but it was fun. :) (The loading screen is here because of music.)

Hey looks pretty cool! My one suggestion would be to add a fall/jumping animation when the character is in mid-air. After you jump or fall, the player uses the same walking/idle animation and makes the gameplay look a bit stiff.
