With around 350 hectares of vineyards, the largest wine-growing municipality in Styria in the wine-growing region of southern Styria. It consists of the cadastral municipalities of Eckberg, Gamlitz (from the Slavic Gomilnitz = hill), Grubtal, Kranach, Labitschberg, Sernau and Steinbach. Of 390 agricultural holdings, 230 are engaged in viticulture; the municipal coat of arms shows a bunch of grapes on a leaf.
