Golden Globes Around the World Podcast: Moran and Shani Atias

In honor of International Women’s Day, Hollywood Foreign Press Association member David Caspi hosts this episode of our Golden Globes Around the World podcast series featuring Israeli actresses, sisters Moran Atias and Shani Atias, to discuss their new women empowerment initiative titled “Me First”.

Moran Atias first rose to fame as a fashion model in Italy, with noted designer Roberto Cavalli taking her under his wing and later walking the runways for major brands, namely Dolce and Gabbana with whom she formed a close bond. She then became a TV personality in Italy and a household name in her homeland, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting.

Moran Atias’ credits include the TV adaptation of Academy Award-winning feature film Crash on Starz, medical drama series The Resident on Fox and FX’s Tyrant, a role very dear to her heart, as she details in the podcast.

Younger sister Shani Atias’ breakout role was in the Israeli successful teen drama Galis in 2012, around the time she joined Moran in Los Angeles. Some of her credits include CBS shows such as NCIS: Los Angeles, MacGyver and FBI: Most Wanted.

In addition to recently becoming first-time mothers, Moran and Shani launched “Me First”, a movement advocating for women to prioritize themselves and their goals. On the podcast they share their inspiration, life lessons from being in the limelight and their vision for the future.
