How to fertilize White-Fleshed Pitahaya
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your White-Fleshed Pitahaya after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Hi everyone this is my dragon fruit atm-can anyone help me by instructing me what to do with him? #HylocereusUndatus

How do I unclutter these? Yo! My dragonfruit is sprouting like crazy. But for some reason most of them sprouted in the middle, even though I tried to spread the seeds evenly. How should I unclutter them? They seem really fragile🤔 #HylocereusUndatus

Should I do anything w these dragon fruit plants? Someone was selling three plants, a plant stand, grow lights, and the pots for the plants for $20 on FB marketplace. That is how I acquired a very leggy pair of dragon fruit succulents. What are the white hairs all over it? Should I do any pruning?

Just a lil appreciation post for my #DragonFruit seedlings🥰 I started these from seed in May, and although they’ve severely slowed down their growth for the winter they’re still going strong. This guy has clearly always been the strongest of the bunch, and has decided to further prove it by popping out another limb!! I’ve never seen one do that at this size, is this even normal? Either way, I’m beyond proud of his accomplishment and like to think he is too🤩

Hi everyone! We just moved into a new house and they have this lovely dragonfruit plant up front. However I don’t know much about them. Does it look healthy? If not, what can I do to heal it? #HylocereusUndatus

A few weeks ago, I did an experiment. It was growing yellow dragonfruits in both water, soil, and in a tissue inside a plastic bag. The results: Soil took just a little more than a week to see a sprout. Super fast! They started sprouting around the time the ones in the tissue had started cracking the seed hull. And for the water? I saw a little root sprout, but it didn't grow other than that. From now on, I will be growing dragons in soil! Anyway, I was checking my dragonfruit seedlings today, and I noticed that one seedling had 3 leaves! It's so weird, but I love it. I also saw this little other seedling in the dragon pit, and when I say little, I mean LITTLE! Does anyone know what it could be? #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #newgrowth #dragonfruit #germination #seedlings #succulentlove

Is this a root? It’s coming from where the new growth is starting. It’s a Dragon fruit cactus. I circled what I am talking about

Cactus growth starting on my Dragonfruit! #newgrowth #plantsmakepeoplehappy #dragonfruit

My dragonfruit is etiolated. Should I be cutting those bits off? Is it hindering its growth? #HylocereusUndatus #DragonFruit #NewPlantMom

What in the Sam Hill? One of my dragonfruit cuttings has a baby sprouting. That’s awesome. But said baby also has roots. Not expected. Should I pluck this little guy from the mama cutting and repot, or is it fine to leave as-is? #DragonFruit #PropagationStation #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict

What other plant parents say
This guy is one for someone who is patient. I propagated him from a friends plant and put him directly into soil as was directed. However he has taken so long to grow roots and settle in his new pot. Her plant has exploded in the large pot and takes up so much room that he needs a new one soon. They are easy to take care of and relatively low maintenance which is great! But they do require patience.
A really hardy plant! I water it very rarely. I can’t actually remember the last time I watered it lol! You can forget about it for a month and it will be fine! A piece of the plant was actually growing on the plastic tag that had the care instructions on it. It wasn’t even attached to the mother plant! Both the mother plant and the small leaf have survived and they’re thriving. I would highly recommend this plant to anyone!
My dragonfruit plant, Rasputin, was originally supporting a moon cactus because the moon cacti are unable to thrive on their own. They are typically grafted onto the top of a hylocereus. This left him with a brown spot in the middle, but the death of the moon cactus has allowed him to thrive beautifully since then. He has grown so many new branches, and he’s so easy to care for. These plants can get very big when given the opportunity to do so. I definitely recommend!
