Luther College

2023-24: Franzen played in 24 games with 15 starts. He He scored 86 points and recorded a new career-high of 17 versus Viterbo on November 15, 2023. Franzen also had 56 rebounds, nine assists, three blocks, and two steals. 

2022-23: After missing the first half of the season due to injury, Franzen returned and was the team's top three-point shooter, shooting 41.9 percent. Franzen scored a career high 15 against Nebraska-Wesleyan on January 24, 2023. The junior closed the season with 47 points, 27 rebounds, four assists, six steals and one block. 

2021-22: Franzen appeared in 25 games with 21 starts as a sophomore. He ranked second on the team in both total points (164) and total rebounds (64). Additionally he ranked third with 32 assists and added five blocks and 12 steals. 

2020-21: As a first year, Franzen appeared nine games, averaging 7.3 points per game.

High School: A two-year letter winner at Decorah High School, Franzen earned first-team all-conference honors during his high school basketball career. He was also named first- team all-substate his senior season and set school records for single-season and career three-pointers made. A three-sport athlete, Franzen earned all-conference honors in football and was a three-time state qualifier in track and field. Off the court, the was a three-time all-district all-academic team award winner and was a member of National Honors Society.  

Personal: Franzen chose Luther for multiple reasons, including the opportunity to study and compete in the community where he grew up. He is a health promotion major with a minor in leadership. Franzen is the son of Mark (head coach) and Kris.
