I am USUALLY not a drinker before a game but this bar had a really cool look to it. It was a party, everyone was outside drinking as well as inside and everyone was just happy.

When I ordered my margarita I had a conversation with the bartender and security guard (who were both very nice and guided me towards my door) I enjoy places where the staff are nice because I know I'm comfortable enough to go back there with friends!

My drink was good and unique, a different style IPA which I enjoyed and wasn't overwhelmed by. Place was clean, sporty and well guarded. Thank you for everything!

I've been here twice so far before a Mets game. Have tried Ebbs a couple of times before from random shops in the city. They're an okaaaay brewery. I think it's a bit over-hyped and over-priced. But there's a little something for everyone. The inside has a very sleek and modern feel to it. Also sleek and modern in that I feel it's most likely credit only. You can see the tanks for the brewing exposed off to the side. And the floor is an open table communal benches situation. The way I look at it is that you're still paying for a ten dollar beer here but the beer inside mets is more inferior brews and more like $15-20. You can also get food here like burgers, sandwiches, wings, hotdogs, etc. Again, over-priced but probably less priced again than the stadium's options. I ended up departing from getting a dark beer for once because the heat has been killer this summer and went with a watermelon sour gose that was both tart, salty, and refreshing. (Literally in the description but it works). They also have tvs playing sports updates/the game obviously if it has started yet. I was early. Anyway, some additions that would be awesome are chargers somewhere for your cell phone. I think in both situations I've been here it's been something of a need mostly because citifield is hella out there and a good pick me up charge to keep my phone going would be awesome but it's just a small thing.

Poor Ebbs--they are like the perfectly nice person you date on the rebound after the love of your life has trampled on your heart. I mean, I try not to compare to previous spots, but when you make beer as well as Mikkeller does--and you are providing that cool cache to provide a perfect spot to hang out after watching your beloved Mets play--nothing else is going to compare.

But let's focus on the positives. They offer solid beer. Not world-changingly inventive, but good. It has preserved an industrial cool layout that feels like it is carved into the bowels of a baseball stadium as well as a chill craft beer hangout vibe, avoiding going in the bro-y frat vibe of a Mcfadden's. The staff is largely the same cool folks as its previous interation. And it is still located right outside the Right Field gate of the glorious Citi Field, providing a fine pre- or post- game day spot to meet in an area bereft of them.

So let's appreciate Ebbs for what it is and hope they improve the things they can--perhaps diversify their brews beyond their strong IPAs, hopefully improve or at least diversify their food menu options (or bring in some pop-up chefs), and definitely open up at least for the whole baseball season and not just for home games, striving to be a beer destination and not just a gameday destination--while still providing a cool spot tucked away in Citi Field.

Great spot if you're visiting Citi Field. Place is welcoming and spacious and the staff is super-nice. Shoutout to Aaron for giving my group a great lay of the land. Will be back.

It's a nice space with all the ginormous brew kettles. They sell packs of beer & hard seltzer to-go in addition to the bar. Lots of picnic table seating. The AC is LOVELY after a sweaty Mets game.

The vibe is slightly weird here... they require you to drink your beer from a plastic cup instead of the can. So Wasteful!

I walked up the short steps to the raised bar area and a staff member asked me what I was doing.... I was going to order at the bar....

The bar area wall has a ton of taps - I would only order the Kolsch again

Bouncer at the front door made me feel extremely uncomfortable and asked inappropriate questions about my religion. Would never go back.
