There is plenty of parking and the lot was clean. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The service was pleasant and accommodating. And they serve real Coke products which was a plus for me. The biggest negative for me was the menu, but, the staff was able to provide me what I wanted at an excellent price. When I go for fast food roast beef I want beef! I always get a sandwich with 8 oz. The biggest on Rax menu was 4 oz. Special orders didn't upset them at all. Also, unlike their bigger competitor they don't have jalapeño poppers. But, they do have baked potatoes, but, I didn't have one. Their horseradish sauce wasn't horseradishie enough for me. Their BBQ sauce was acceptable. The sandwich itself was pretty much interchangeable with their competition.
I have no reason not to go here again, but, no reason to go out of my way to either.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Adrian A.Santa Monica, CA491170Jan 28, 2023

Food is awful, taints my tongue. I've gotten food poisoning almost every single time i've gone. Just go to Arby's instead.

Roast beef and fries were fresh and good. The service was nice. The inside needed some updating but it wasn't bad.

I used to prefer Rax to Arby's, but then they went away. The one in Bellefontaine is... different. No longer named Rax, I don't think, and even before that it had different offerings. This one, this is definitely a Rax. The menu is pretty close to what I remember, and I wanted to try several sandwiches but settled on two: beef and cheddar, and BBQ beef.
Beef and cheddar: good, puffy bun. Thinly-sliced meat, with some cheese sauce. I added BBQ sauce from their (non-branded) packets. Tasty, hot, good. The twisty fries (I got a combo) are standard seasoned twisty fries. The BBQ beef sandwich brought back memories. Another good bun, shredded roast beef, and BBQ sauce. Just like I remember, and kinda like a sloppy joe made with bits of roast beef instead of ground beef. Yum. Not as messy as you might think. I want another one right now.
Drive-through only at the moment. Quick, friendly service. Reasonable prices. One tree with shade in the lot, so you could eat there on a hot day. Maybe not worth going out of the way for, but if you're nearby it's a good nostalgia trip, and pretty good fast food. Is it better than Arby's? Yeah, a little. It's still sliced roast beef, just slightly different. Try it and see. Neither are haute cuisine, but Rax is fast, flavorful, filling fast food.
Driving instructions: turn in at the Arby's because they look similar and hey, maybe Arby's finally bought out the Rax. Take the curvy service road to the left, for 1/4 mile. Go fast, it's fun.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 1 - James H.Circleville, OH1283Apr 29, 2022
Horrible service. Don't even think about delivery or Doordash because no suits are given about your food once it leaves the store.

Fire up the flux capacitor, Marty we're going back in time. This Rax has been serving up fast food, with style since the 80s! The crew wasn't moving at 88 MPH (I suspect a late fry drop...) but it was worth the wait to devour another BBC. The sauce isn't quite as tangy at the original but it's a reasonable replica. And super cool, they take plastic now - didn't do that back in the day!

I had the roast beef sandwich and chocolate chip shake. Both were just as good as I remember when I was a kid. I hope one day Rax returns to its former glory.

This place has never changes since I was a kid and I'm so happy over that.
We use to have one down the street and it closed when I was about 16, now being 32 I'm so happy I have one to go to still.
I love their Kind Roast Beef.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
