In 1899, the “Chemiewerk Rüdersdorf” started its operation as a cement factory near the limestone deposit of the German village Rüdersdorf.
During the second World War, the German army produces bauxite, used in aluminium production for the war economy.
After WOII, the Chemiewerk is located in the DDR. At the plant, the Sovjets produce feed phosphate.
10 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the factory is abandoned.
