Funk legend George Clinton has revived the Parliament moniker for their first new song in decades. Listen to “I’m Gon Make U Sick O’Me,” featuring Scarface, below. In a Reddit AMA conducted on Monday, Clinton revealed that the track was the first single from an upcoming Parliament album called Medicaid Fraud Dog. When asked why he decided to bring back the Parliament name, Clinton responded, “Because the last album was Funkadelic First Ya Gotta Shake the Gate. It’s Parliament’s turn.” He also revealed that the upcoming full-length would featuring P-Funk horn players Fred Wesley, Pee Wee Ellis, Greg Thomas, and Benny Cowan. The last album solely under the Parliament name was 1980’s Trombipulation.

The label credited for Parliament’s latest song is Clinton’s C Kunspyruhzy Records Inc. Clinton embarks on a tour with Parliament/Funkadelic on January 31; find the full itinerary on his site.

Elsewhere in the Reddit AMA, Clinton said that a reissue of Funkadelic’s 1978 album One Nation Under A Groove was already in the works. He also mentioned that he would love to collaborate with Cardi B (“She's got the funk”) and lauded Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” (“he’s killing it”).
