Last few year were exciting years for many chinchilla breeders around the world. A few new mutations started to appear in shows. One of these were Black Pearl Polish Chinchillas.
It came to the show scene in Europe in late 2014. The original breeding pair came from Breeder: Elzbieta and Thomasz Kucharczak of Poland. The early specimens came from standard greys pairing in 2008.
Belly: White tip with grey underfur
Veiling: Silky homogeneous black with dark grey bar/underfur.
Tail: Black with some white fur.
Good specimens ave silky black veiling till the sides, white belly and good colour clarity. It is a stunning animal to look at.
Genetics: Recessive mutation. Very likely you need another BP carrier or BP to produce another BP.
