Monday’s LAME Car: The G-Wiz

Today I will admire the result of thousands of years of human evolution, probably the most complicated, sophisticated work of mankind: the Revai, most commonly known as the G-Wiz.

That’s sexy!

Yeah yeah, I know what you’re thinking right now… «OMG, that’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!», «It’s so beautiful I’m going to leave my wife for it!» or «People driving Ferraris would look just stupid compared to the proud owners of this marvelous creation!».

BUT if the simply incredible design hasn’t already convinced you of its greatness (could that even be possible), its breathtaking specs will do:

-An impressive top speed of 50 mph (80 km/h)
-0-60 in (as it only can take 50 mph it’s not meassureble at all, so let’s say 0-50) more than 25 seconds. Actually, the longest footage I’ve seen was a guy in a Youtube video counting until 21 seconds, and in this time the car hadn’t even reached 30 mph…
-Range of 50 miles without charging
-Charging time from 0 until 100% ONLY 8 hours

From the back, almost even better looking!

I think these are already enough facts to admire the G-Wiz and convince every single person in this world that they should buy that beauty, at a very cheap and reasonable price of round 10000£ (about 12000€).

Now talking seriously, I’m glad that the industry of electric cars has developped (and still does) so far that we can drive something non-contaminating for longer than 50 miles that doesn’t look like a plastic toy, because, even 13 years ago, when the G-Wiz came out, it already was a bit of a stupid concept.
And I’m not the only one having this opinion: in 11 years of production (thank God it ended in 2012) only around 4600 units were sold, and various motor experts expressed their disappointment regarding this little car, even my friends of Top Gear UK…
