Rax Fast Food Restaurant

Rax is a regional fast-food restaurant based in the US. Originally founded as "Jax" Roast Beef in the late 1960s, and through a series of name changes ended up as Rax by the early 1980s when the first Rax opened in Columbus, OH. In addition to items like roast beef sandwiches and curly fries, the chain featured an "Endless Salad Bar" which also included items like pizza, pasta and tacos. The chain grew exponentially peaking at just over 500 locations in 38 states before declaring bankruptcy in the early 1990s. Most of the locations closed down after that, and the chain went through a series of new owners. As of early 2023 there are only about 5 to 8 locations left. This asset is based on one of the few remaining locations in Lancaster, OH. I had the pleasure of visiting and eating there just a few months ago.
