Today I want to show you some interesting details of the volcano.
You see me here in the caldera, the extinct volcano, with the rest of the basalt cone with the castle. To the left of me there is a remainder of the crater lake, today a nature reserve. A caldera is a vessel-shaped structure of volcanic origin.

Heute möchte ich Euch einige interessante Details von dem Vulkan zeigen.
Ihr seht mich hier in der Caldera, des längst erloschenen Vulkans, mit dem restlichen Basaltkegel mit der Burg. Links von mir gibt es noch einen Rest des Kratersees, heute Naturschutzgebiet. Eine Caldera ist eine kesselförmige Struktur vulkanischen Ursprungs.
Burg Güssing was built in the 12th century, first as a wooden bulwark, later this was replaced by a stone castle.In this photo you can see very well the connection of the bedrock and the structure
Burg Güssing entstand im 12. Jahrhundert, zuerst als hölzernes Bollwerk, später wurde dieses durch eine Steinburg ersetzt. Auf diesem Foto kann man sehr gut die Verbindung vom Grundgestein und dem Aufbau erkennen
