Om Raut's epic mythological drama Adipurush may be shattering records at he box office, but it has not come without its share of controversies. In the midst of all this, buzz is strong that filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari too, is getting ready for his magnum opus Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the roles of Ram and Sita respectively.

Recently, in an interview to a leading publication, director Om Raut revealed that he isn't insecure that Nitesh will be coming out with a movie on the same subject, in fact he is looking forward to watching it.
Calling Nitesh a good friend of his, Om said that just like any other devotee of Ram, he is looking forward to the movie and will root for that film or any other film that anybody is making. He also stressed on the importance of the epic tale in India's history.
Coming back to Adipurush, the movie, that has been garnering an overwhelming response across the world and is conquering hearts of audiences across all ages could not please a section of the audience who objected to some dialogues in the film.
Taking into consideration the public opinion and to make this visual spectacle a memorable cinematic experience, the team of Adipurush has decided to make alterations to the film’s dialogues. The makers are revisiting the said dialogues, ensuring to resonate with the core essence of the film and the same will reflect in the theaters in the next few days.
Reacting to the criticism, dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir had said in an interview that it is not an error but a very meticulous thought process that went into writing the dialogues for Bajrang Bali and all the characters. Manoj added that if there are multiple characters in the film then all of them can't speak the same language, so there has to be a diversion. He further added that when grandmothers used to narrate stories from Ramayana to them during childhood, they would recite such dialogues only. He shared that many narrators also would use the same language and he isn't the first one to write this dialogue.

As far as Nitesh Tiwari's film adaptation of the epic is concerned, there have been rumours of Ranbir Kapoor possibly playing the leading role of Lord Ram. For the role of Sita, actresses including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Sai Pallavi are rumoured to be in the running while Hrithik Roshan has been tipped to be cast as the antagonist Ravan. However, an official confirmation on the same is still awaited.
