Reynolds

In October 2021, after completing the Apple TV+ movie “Spirited,” Reynolds slyly announced he was taking a “sabbatical” from moviemaking, though his slate of projects might suggest otherwise. This year, he joined Dexter Fletcher’s Ana de Armas and Chris Evans-led Apple TV+ actioner “Ghosted,” made appearances on unscripted efforts “Choreographers React” and “American Auto” and debuted “Bedtime Stories With Ryan,” a 15-episode original through his production company Maximum Effort and internet TV provider Fubo in which, yes, he reads bedtime stories to viewers. In arguably his most exciting project this year (before the double strike impacted its production schedule), Reynolds convinced Hugh Jackman to resurrect Wolverine for Marvel’s “Deadpool 3,” due out next summer. This fall, he received the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award from the mental-health awareness group Bring Change to Mind.
