Schmiding ZOO

The Schmiding Zoo spans an area of 13 hectares and showcases the wildlife of various regions of the world. Conservation Efforts at Schmiding Zoo

The Schmiding Zoo is actively involved in conservation breeding programs. This commitment to conservation has resulted in the birth of tigers in 2007, a Rothschild giraffe in 2014, and the first rhino in Austria in 2012. Additional Attractions at Schmiding Zoo

Adjacent to the Schmiding Zoo are the Aquazoo and Arthropodenzoo Schmiding, which together offer a total indoor area of 3500 m². The Aquazoo houses Austria's largest marine aquarium and also features an indoor adventure playground. The Arthropodenzoo consists of a terrarium with a butterfly room. The Evolution Museum at Schmiding Zoo

The Evolution Museum, opened in 2017, offers a thematic continuation of the zoo experience.
