As of 2010, the Railway Museum Strasshof displayed around 80 locomotives, some of which are fully operational, and over 180 wagons. The museum has preserved the complete ambiance around the exhibited pieces in its original form. This includes the wooden water tower, the coal lifts, and water cranes, some of which have been renovated and are available for the operation of the locomotives.
