Martin Gritsch

Professor • Economics, Finance and Global Business

Dr. Gritsch has served as the Associate Dean of the Cotsakos College of Business since 2020. His previous administrative roles include Interim Associate Dean (three terms), Director of AACSB Continuous Improvement, College Assessment Coordinator, and Assistant to the Dean. He is also a professor of economics and his research on the economics of major-league sports, executive compensation, and the economics of education has been published in various peer-reviewed academic journals. In addition to a PhD in economics from Texas A&M University, Dr. Gritsch holds the degree of Diplom-Volkswirt from the University of Siegen, Germany. Previously, he earned the title of Bankkaufmann while working at Deutsche Bank for two years. He has done consulting work for the NJ Department of Labor, John Wiley and Sons, and Pearson, among others.
