Nischwitz Stadium

While the WSU baseball team has been playing at the site since 1993, Nischwitz Stadium became a reality in 2000. It was dedicated on April 12, 2000, as Wright State hosted the Indiana Hoosiers. The facility is named for Ron Nischwitz, who coached the Raiders for 30 years, and for his son, Gregg, who played for WSU for one season before losing his life in a construction accident in 1980.

The facility features chair-back seating for 560, lights, heated dugouts, locker rooms, concession stand and a training facility. In 2012, a FieldTurf playing surface was installed along with the addition of a new press box.

Nischwitz Stadium, which measures 330 down each line, 377 to the gaps and 400 to straightaway center, has hosted high school games, showcases, amateur games and tournaments over the years, including the 2006, 2011 and 2016 Horizon League Tournaments.

From the North
Turn off I-70 onto I-675 South
Take North Fairfield Road Exit (Exit 17)
Turn right onto North Fairfield Road
North Fairfield Road becomes Raider Road after the stoplight; Continue going straight on Raider Road and go around the Nutter Center, which will be on your right
Turn right into Nutter Center Parking Lot #8, which is the lot just past the pond and before the big hill on the right side
Nischwitz Stadium is located east of the parking lot

From the South
Take I-75 North to I-675 North
Take I-675 to Exit 17, follow the sign for "WPAFB Areas A&C" and "Wright St. Univ."
Get off at Wright State University exit
Turn left onto University Boulevard
Turn left onto Raider Road
Turn left into Nutter Center Parking Lot #8, which is the lot just past the big hill on the left side
Nischwitz Stadium is located east of the parking lot

From the East
Take I-70 West to I-675 South
Take I-675 to North Fairfield Road Exit (Exit 17)
Turn right onto North Fairfield Road
North Fairfield Road becomes Raider Road after the stoplight; Continue going straight on Raider Road and go around the Nutter Center, which will be on your right
