Who needs a glam squad? Lately, celebrities have been skipping the salon entirely and chopping their own hair at home. Take Courteney Cox, who took a pair of scissors to her own bangs with exactly zero hesitation. Now, Lost actress Evangeline Lilly has followed suit with an at-home buzz cut that has fans shocked.
On Saturday, Lilly posted a series of videos to Instagram documenting her transformation from mid-length hair to a full-on shaved head. The videos show her dividing her hair into sections and trimming it close to her scalp with scissors. Then, a man appears in the frame holding clippers. At first, it appears as though she's going to keep one side of hair long and wear an undercut on the other.
"Stop or keep going??" she captioned the videos. She kept going.

By Sunday, she shared a photo of her freshly-shaved head. The comment section quickly filled up with fans cheering her on with thoughts like "I love your scruffy, sweet head!!!" and "you're so beautiful."

As Refinery29 points out, Lilly's urge to reach for the clippers may have something to do with her latest role. She's currently in pre-production for Happy Life, a comedy in which she'll play a woman whose husband may be having an affair with an Instagram influencer.
We'll have to wait until the film comes out to discover if an onscreen husband is what drove Lilly to the new haircut. But for now, we're just going to be content with this proof that hair or no hair, she's gorgeous as hell.
