On behalf of the nonprofit housing corporation Heimat Österreich VARIO-HAUS built a passive residential neighbourhood consisting of 14 residential units in the town of Auersthal in the district of Gänserndorf close to Vienna. By using heat-recovery ventilation and wood pellet based heating, low operating costs and a great room climate can be guaranteed. VARIO-HAUS was acting as general contrator and therefore responsible for building the underground car park, the cellar and the 3-storey building including all building equipment and appliances and infrastructure. The fast and on-time handover of the project to the client and to the residents was of utmost importance.
