Admont Abbey

The inside of the library

Take a virtual tour of the stunning Admont Abbey with this week’s #AustrianExplorer! This Styrian Benedictine monastery built in 1074 was complemented by a Baroque library in 1776. It’s the largest monastic library in the world and boasts 70,000 volumes, rare manuscripts and several secret passageways. For all the bookworms out there, check out next week's Leipzig Book Fair featuring Austria as the guest of honor and presenting the country's diverse spectrum of literature!
