I first discovered this beer from a mail order delivery place at the height of Covid. In that situation, those 4 tall cans were basically ambrosia, or at least good enough that I had a positive memory almost 3 years later, when I ordered one on tap at a bar on the LES (Manhattan). This was last fall, when my palate once again had more or less free rein. The nicely poured pint was attractively honey-colored and citrusy smelling, as reported elsewhere. But I found the first sip or three disappointingly flat. The bar was unusually empty and the tender attentive, and he asked if I wanted to replace it with a Montauk Wave Chaser, a reliable IPA that I knew I liked and decided was what I deserved. Cut to Prez day yesterday, my first time back at the same bar and I tried it again. This time I was more impressed. It's not a great IPA, but it has a nice mix of flavors, not too sweet or too bitter (though i sometimes like bitter) and very drinkable.

Tall can, direct from the source in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. (Epicenter of beer on the planet?)
No dating info on the can, that I can find.
Pour lighter in color and about medium hazed. Slight cap, goes to a thicker film and leaves minor strands of fine lacing.
Light lemon/lime sniff.
Sort of hybrid of a "modern" style IPA, some tropical fruit, some yeasty earthiness, some resiny bite.....add it all up and you have an enjoyable and drinkable quaffer.....worth a try...I could enjoy a few of these on a regular basis

16 oz can. Pours muddy golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops, bready malt and tropical fruit. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is similar to aroma. Finish is long and almost dry. Nice brew.
