Excellent!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 2 of these systems. Give them atleast a good 4 hours of "break-in" varying the volume....then let em have it. The mids and highs a very accurate, and the subwoofer will raise the hair on your neck! For a moderately priced system YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG! Buy it!

Absolutely AWESOME!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read reviews on these that said the mids and highs were muffled or lost, and they're all wrong....they just don't know how to balance them with the powerful bass...these sound incredible!! You can't ask for louder, if that's what you're after, and the sound is awesome whether you're playing music (mostly with me), or gaming (sound is incredible). I would recommend these to everyone...especially with them being so inexpensive! The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars across the board is that there ARE better looking systems out there (check out how cool the Altec Lansing Expressionist Ultra MX6021 ones look!), and the subwoofer is HUGE! Other than that, these speakers are absolutely the best 2.1 speakers I've ever heard, hands down :-)

Incredible Sound Overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to compliment an HP computer. It beat the computer to my house, so I couldn't help but take it along for my roadtrip. Let me say, I plugged this in through my car's AC outlet, hooked up my iPod, and BOOM. The car has a factory Infiniti sound system that until now I thought was pretty good. At this point, I'm still afraid to turn the volume all the way up on the Logitech because I'm scared I'll bother someone miles away. Honestly, from a technical standpoint, these speakers are fantastic. The wired remote comes with a mini audio plug, but it also comes with an adapter that turns the mini audio into an RCA audio in. This works great because I can connect my PS3 to it. The only thing it's missing is a digital/optical in. My PC soundcard is a Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium with optical out, and I was really hoping to take advantage of the high performance on both ends without the need my Pioneer receiver. Sound quality is insane. The base is out of this world, but it still manages to stay crisp and within the range of the rest of the music. You'll hear parts of songs that you never knew existed. Overall, every different level of sound coming out of these is a compliment to the other ranges. The final product is just unbelievable quality. Another small point- The satellite speakers say "THX" on them. I like that, it's just a nice reminder to anyone who bought a Bose that they paid too much for poorer sound. You cannot go wrong with these speakers. If you're looking to add some power to your PC, or to spice up you video games or even your traditional TV viewing, the search stops here. These are without a doubt the most cost-efficient, high-quality speakers on the market. Go in the store and try them out side-by-side next to the "other" brands. There's no comparison. I only warn you not to turn them up past half way in-store, or else you'll get nasty looks from people in the parking lot.

Perfect for any size room
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a musician. I need good speakers and good quality sound anytime i listen to music. I just moved into my dorm at college and the speakers on my laptop are terrible. There is no low end and the quality of the sound is terrible. These speakers are an amazing value for the price. Being a student, I dont have an expendable income. These speakers surpassed what i needed for a very affordable price. The sound quality is amazing with crisp clean highs, and deep meaty lows. Music, movies and anything else you do with audio on you computer will all come to life with these speakers. The speakers and sub can hit extremely high volumes and maintain the sound quality. I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a great and affordable way to exponentially increase the sound quality of a computer or an ipod.

Nice and cheap!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for good sound for cheap then these are the speakers for you. When I bought these I was looking for a nice sound that didn't make a hole in my wallet and let me tell you boy was I happy I did. At first I was skeptical about these because I've heard about the bose systems and how they cost $400 so i figured if I didn't spend close to that I wouldn't be getting quality speakers. As soon as I plugged these in I way blown away by the clarity and the power of these. Nice subwoofer too. If you have money to blow go blow $400 on the bose but if you are like me who likes performance at a nice price then these speakers are for you.

Absolutely Phenomenal!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I compared these to similarly sized systems, and NOTHING even comes close. These are THX certified speakers, so let that be a clue as to how they sound. The main desktop speakers each have a single 2" full range driver in a ported cab. Instead of a dust cap, there is a dome shaped reflector, to reflect sound away from the driver. The grills are removable. Don't let the small 2" drivers fool you...I was amazed at the amount of sound they produced. They sound as if they were four times their size. Its hard to imagine how they got this much sound out of these.... The woofer is a powered 8" sub in a ported cab, so the bass is forceful, but it is still tight and punchy while resonating clear bass tones. It is a 6th order tuned enclosure. There is a handy volume module that sits on the desktop with a large volume knob, a power button, and a smaller dial to turn the bass up or down (this mainly affects the woofer volume). I am somewhat of an audiophile, so I demand good sound quality from my audio systems. I have to say, this system is absolutely phenomenal. It sounds every bit as good, if not better, than any comparable sized Bose speakers I have heard, without the Bose price. Excellent sound quality, high volume, and outstanding definition at high volume. I have heard a lot of similar sized systems, but none even come close to the sound quality. At low volume, they do not really display their true potential; turn them up to about mid to high volume levels, and this is where these really begin to put other speaker systems to shame. This system is capable of high volume while maintaining excellent sound quality and dynamic response. At high volume, you can still hear every detail of instruments and warm, clear vocals, all without distortion. Of course, you can push them to distort, but they reach well beyond anything else out there. They maintain a consistent sound quality throughout the volume range. A lot of cheaper systems cut out bass and change the tone as the volume increases, but these do not exhibit anything of the sort; the sound is not colored or altered at all throughout the volume range. There is a seamless crossover point between the sub and the desktop speakers, so you will not hear either the sub or main speakers overpowering one another... they are perfectly matched. The sub produces tight, punchy bass kicks and warm tones and will rattle the windows while maintaining clarity and definition. Testing reveals the bass does drop off at about 35Hz, as the manual says, but it maintains good definition down to about that point. Not bad. Most music never dips down into that frequency range anyway. The only reason you would need response lower than this is if you were setting up a true home theater or if you are a bass head (I used to be one, multiple subs, amps, etc. so naturally I test all my woofers to establish their lower frequency limit.) I could go on and on, but the point is, these are simply amazing speakers. It is well suited for gamers. If you are looking for a small system for the living room, your bedroom, or office, or you demand good sound quality and like to turn it up, then these are the way to go. They will fill a full sized living room with great sound. You wont be disappointed.

LEGIT SPEAKERS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are great speakers and well worth the money. I installed them easily and they plug in with a simple min 2.5mm jack into the computer or whatever device. I use them mainly for music. The bass is tight sounding and rattles my walls. The left and right speakers have a high quality sound. THey are THX and I expected alot for 170$ and they delivered. Very impressed by the quality. Also you can just hook this into an existing radio or MP3 or Ipod and play through the speakers. Also comes with an attachment to hook into a TV. GO get these speakers.

ZR 2300
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the zr2300 speakers to replace my stock Sony vaio speakers. I had a seperate JVC stereo hooked up as well since the vaio speakers couldn't dish out really any bass or when I turned them up the sound was distorted. After hooking them up I was instantly impressed. They perform exactly as I had hoped. They output enough power so I can hear them from anywhere in my apt. and also the sound stays crisp at high volumes as well as the bass not getting muddy. For the price (if you only want a 2.1 system) I don't think it can be beat.
