Overall I'm very pleased with the headset. The sound quality is excellent. The microphone seems to work just fine. I use this headset because I work from home. I call into meetings that can last anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour. I can't hold the phone to my ear for that long without getting very uncomfortable. This headset is great because I can be heard very well, and when it's noisy in my house, I can crank up the volume to hear my phone conversation. I've also had problems with handheld phones when dialing into meetings where speakerphone is used. I find it hard to hear some of the people in the room where the speakerphone is. This headset allows me to turn the volume up enough to hear everybody. I also use this headset to dictate. Other headset I've used have had issues with the microphone not being clear enough. This microphone works quite well. There are only a couple of complaints that I have. First of all the headset is a bit tight at first. After a while, it tends to loosen up, but it takes several months. Since I work from home, I need to wear the headset for 8 to 10 hours a day, so comfort is a big issue. The second complaint I have is the durability. Since there are six people in my family, four of them being children, the headset gets quite a bit of use. My computer is in our family room in the headset allows the computer user to hear the sound from the computer without competing with other noise in the room including the TV. Kids being kids they don't always take as much care of my things as I would like. As a consequence of their using this, the headset hits the floor pretty much at least once a day. They also like to play with the inline microphone mute and volume control. Over the course of 18 months, the headset damage to one side of the head phones where the sound was diminished, and eventually the mute switch broke in the off position. I replaced the headset with the same model. That should tell you what I think of the product. Obviously I liked it enough to spend the money on the same headset as a replacement. I think under better circumstances the headset would have lasted quite a bit longer. Overall I would recommend the headset to anybody. I think it's a great product at a fair price.

Razer makes some of the best computer gaming components hands down. This headset is no exception. It is lightweight and very comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. The cord is plenty long wich is nice if your I/O jacks are a distance away, however is the are close, you end up with a pile of cable on your desk. It has a in-line volume and mute control and the microphone is fully adjustable. The sound quality is outstanding! Sometimes it is hard to tell if i am hearing the sound thru my headset or my speakers. I do however have a high end sound card so that may make a difference. These may be on the pricier side for some, but if you appreciate excelent quality and sound, they are woth the extra 20 bucks.

I've had this headset for some time now, still works great, excellent audio, and I've never had any complaints in vent about my sound, so it seems the mic works rather well too. The only issues I have with this headset is that they do tend to get rather uncomfortable approaching the 10+ hour mark, but what doesn't. The mic mute switch is also very easy to hit if you tend to fidget around alot. Minor complaints aside, a very good headset, and well worth the money.

I recently purchased these headphones, and have to say it was worth it! They are extremely comfy! The material used on the ear phones is very nice, and the cushion on the headband is nice aswell. The mic, though not close to my mouth, picks up well. I use the program Ventrilo, and was told I was more clear and louder. I do find the lights are not needed, so I do not keep the USB plugged in, but it's a spiffy feature. I'd most definitely recommend these to others! (= Happy gaming!

This headset is just awesome, great sounding and really realistic. The noise canceling mic works great also. They have an adjustable head band, but I found mine really tight until about the 5th time I put them on. Now they fit just fine. Microfiber earcups are very soft and comfortable. I would surely recommend these to anyone that games for hours.

I have been searching for a nice headset for a while and I finally bought this one. It was a little pricey, but I own a Razer Copperhead mouse and I like it, so I figured I'd give it a try. The headset fits very comfortably and it sits kind of at an angle at the back of your head. It does not sit up and over your head like traditional headphones. The one thing I had to get used to is the mic being in my peripheral vision because it does not rotate a full 180 degrees. That is the only thing I would change about it. The headset plugs in with two standard 3.5 mm plugs like a regular headset and requires one USB slot to use the lights. The lights is an added plus, and it looks really sweet with my Razer mouse. I was most concerned about the sound quality because I play a lot of FPS and it works really well for games and music. Most mics that I have used sound muffled, distorted, high pitched, and terrible on bass. I think this headset really does the opposite. I am surely going to take care of it because I don't want to risk breaking it and buying another one, although it does feel fairly sturdy. If you are looking for a nice headset that is worth the money, look no further. The Razer Piranha is the best headset out there for the money no doubt about it.

I bought this headset recently, and I just love it. I bought this headset to play AA, and you can hear everything from footsteps to shooting guns. Its absolutely ridiculously GREAT! I highly recommend this product. As for Razer, they should look into the tightness on the ears...but that's just for me. xD

Sounds great but I found that after wearing for less than 45 minutes my ears started to hurt. No, I don't have a big head. Also the boom mic is a little annoying. I wish it had a lower position and stay out of my line of sight; something that sits lower than my lips. Friends online say i sound clearer on Skype, so that's an improvement. Gonna try to get the Barracuda headset in a few weeks.

Overall, this is a great headset. It's very durable and the sound quality is amazing. The price is quite nice as well. The only thing I dislike(and it might be because of the way my head is shaped) is that it hurts my ears to wear it for long periods of time. Pros: Durable, great sound quality, cushioned pads on the ear part and on the head part, reasonable price. Cons: Hurts to wear for long periods of time (might vary for other people). Overall: Definitely a buy if you want a good stable headset

Real nice product from Razer. Unlike it's older brother this mic does not come off and has a real good gain. I use these mainly for COD 4 and they are excellent. The reinforced breaded lead wire, makes sure you don't tear the wires form the volume adjuster. The flex mic arm is a little stiff, but can still be adjusted according to your needs. the best feature for the mic is that there is no foam wind guard to get gummed up or tore, resulting in bad feeds. Another nice thing is the foam ear pads won't make your ears sweaty so you can wear them for longer periods. With the addition of the blue LED glow this head set is a must have.

This is a great pruduct that I have used from razer and it looks good with the lyosa keyboard and the deathadder mouse which work really reat it lookd really nice with the bluse lights and everyting.It has rch sound that might not be in all the other products from other gamers and players that love to play all types of games,I would also recommed to poeple who love to listen to music too.

The volume is low but won't burst your ear drums. Like I said after having it on for a bit it starts to hurt the ears. It lights up which is cool because if your a gamer and like the dark, you can take the headset off and go get something and come back and can find them.....

ive tried other brands such as logiteck and i realy didnt get what i wanted id ask peaple could they hear me and they said no..so i bought a pair of pirahna headphones and the hearing is absolutley amazing!!!the mic works very good and it dont sound like im under water...

These are one of the top two headphones that I have used so far. Very comfortable and are good quality. A person has to use them to see how good they are.

I got this headset for Christmas, before I was very impressed with Razer's products because I own a Diamondback. However, this was a HUGE disappointment. I put the headset on, very uncomfortable, but I eventually got over it. I was playing today and all of the sudden one of my earphones covers fell right off. I was dumbfounded, for $80 I would've thought I would get some time out of this thing. Nope, and since Best Buy only carries it online I have to wait a while before I can get a new one. I had this unit for about 2 and 1/2 weeks and only used it for about 5 days.

I bought these for Call of duty 4 and for FPS games and I really didn't think much of them till i got them home and was blown away with the nice Breaded Cables and Clean & nicely design except for the USB Fault these things have nice rich bass i can hear anyone trying to sneak up on me in any game now. and the packaging was nicely done very nice and professioanl headset for any gamer these are well worth the extra money.

The sound quality for gaming is awesome. I could hear footsteps from miles away :P

This headset is so good i bought 2 of them! One for the Main PC, The other for the laptop. Great for music and gaming.
