Commonly known as Tamarisk

The feathery, billowy, pink or white shrub of the coastal strip.

Genus of 54 species of deciduous shrubs and small trees from coastal sites and dry or marshy, often salt-rich areas inland from western Europe and the Mediterranean to eastern Asia and India.

    Good to know
    Grown for their feathery foliage and attractive plumes of flowers. Excellent for coastal planting where they may be used as windbreaks. Should be pruned regularly to avoid their becoming top heavy and unstable.

    These plants have little or few problems with honey fungus.
