Ellmau has, without doubt, one of the prettiest settings in our programme - nestling between the Kitzbüheler Alps and the majestic Wilder Kaiser mountains. It has a great ski school, gentle nursery slopes and good progression opportunities, which make Ellmau a solid choice for beginners and improvers. For more advanced skiers, the village links to Austria’s largest ski area of the fully linked 280km of the SkiWelt, which includes resorts such as nearby Scheffau and Soll. For the even more adventurous, experienced skiers and boarders might want to upgrade their lift pass to an Alpen AllStar Card, which also covers neighbouring areas including Kitzbühel - easily accessed by ski bus from linked Westendorf.Ellmau is a laid back village with a traditional atmosphere, and has a goodrange of shops and is dotted with cosy bars and cafés.Prices around Ellmau are very reasonable, especially for a ski resort and the resort is a favourite with families
