Bill Goldberg made his long-awaited return to WWE in 2016, after 12 years away from wrestling.

Over the past five years since making his return, Goldberg has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and captured the WWE Universal Championship twice... despite only having 10 singles matches.

Goldberg was last seen in WWE at the Crown Jewel 2021 Saudi Arabia show in October, where he was defeated by Bobby Lashley in a No Holds Barred, Falls Count Anywhere match, and fans have been wondering when they'll see him in the ring next.

Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Goldberg was asked how much longer he has left on his WWE contract.

"I got one more match left on my deal, man," Goldberg told McAfee. "No, everybody knows I got one more left. That’s it."

The 55-year-old then went on to reveal that he needs surgery on his shoulder but he's holding off until after he's had the final match on his contract.

"I won’t tell everybody on national radio or television that my shoulder has been destroyed for the last three years, five years, eight years," Goldberg said.

"I need surgery, but I’ll get it when I’m done. I’ll get it when I’m finished. It’s one of those things."

He continued: "Here’s the deal, if Vince calls me tomorrow morning and says, 'Hey Goldberg, we need you in a month,' what am I going to do if I get surgery, right? I’ll get it done when it’s time."
