If you’re looking to bolster your weekend ‘watch list’, look no further than Fair Play. The buzziest new addition to Netflix, this film tells the pertinent and largely unexplored story of gender dynamics in the workplace, and the fallout that follows when a woman is more successful than her male partner.
At the centre of the story is Alden Ehrenreich, an analyst who becomes increasingly threatened when his partner and co-worker Emily (Phoebe Deynvenor), receives a promotion over him.

What Else Has Alden Ehrenreich Acted In?
Before lending his talents to Fair Play, Alden had already grown an impressive acting CV.
In 2018, the 33-year-old starred in Solo: A Star Wars Story as a young Han Solo, a role that apparently saw him beat out actors like Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller, and Rami Malek to earn.
However despite significant hype and anticipation, the film opened to mixed reviews and underperformed at the box office.
After the disappointing result, Alden took several years break from acting, only to return in early 2023 with the film Cocaine Bear. A hit on Netflix, the movie was loosely inspired by the true story of a bear found dead in the ’80s after consuming 75 pounds (roughly 34kg) of 95-per-cent pure cocaine.
That same year, Alden scored a role in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer as a Senate aid, and later Fair Play, which premiered at Sundance.

Who Is Alden Ehrenreich Dating?
While they make for a convincing (though extremely toxic) couple, Fair Play costars Alden and Phoebe Deynevor are not dating in real life.
In real life, Alden keeps his love life relatively under wraps, and hasn’t publicly confirmed any dating rumours. Despite his preference for privacy, fans have speculated that the actor might be dating Kelsey McNamee, an actress with credits like Water for Elephants and Shut Up and Drive to her name, though neither of the pair have spoken on the rumours.
