Ellmau at the Wilder Kaiser Mountains

Four villages are part of the holiday region Wilder Kaiser: Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll. The “Kaiser” is a part of the Northern Limestone Alps and mainly consists of Wetterstein Limestone, a regional geological formation which has a silvery shine, and dolomite rock.

The Wilder Kaiser region was awarded with the “Österreichisches Wandergütesiegel” (a quality seal for hiking regions) and belongs to the world’s biggest e-bike region, the “Kitzbühel Alps - Kaiser Mountains”.
