Time for an Anna Dello Russo fashion fix, don't you think!? I got to chat with her last night in one of the most OG-glamorous settings in New York City--The Plaza, natch!--where she was launching her upcoming collection for H&M, and I asked her what one dress she'd take to a desert island.
Considering how out of control girlfriend's wardrobe is and how many outfit changes she has in a typical day, I'd expect her to take ages to answer a question like that, but she came back at me in an instant: "Oh, gold Dolce & Gabbana dress, what else?" she said. Duh! (She's wearing one in the photo above, and has at least three others we've seen on film).
She also shared the exact moment she knew she was in love with fashion: "I was born with it," she told me. "No matter what I did, even if I were a florist, a chef, I would bring some fashion to it. It's not a job, it's my life." She says she has distinct memories of being five years old and seeing a fashion photographer working on the street in Rome, and thinking, "that's something I'd like to do!"
In other words, signorinas, it's just in her blood. And thanks to her über-fabuloso new H&M collection (she's wearing a lot of it in that photo), it can be in yours, too!
