1900 – 1910s Bradbury Southern California Music Co Parlor Guitar Martin Maker

$1,025.00

In stock

This is a very handsome, a 1910s American-made parlor guitar made by the Southern California Music Company.

The Southern California Music Company made parlor and Hawaiian guitars during this time period. On occasion, they provided wood to Martin for Martin’s koa wood guitars.

The guitar features a solid spruce top, mahogany sides and back, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and abalone dot inlays. The solid top and mahogany back and sides gives this guitar a full and warm sound. It has excellent projection.

The guitar has a “V” neck shape, which was common for the time. This shape is very easy to play on and keeps the neck straight through the years.

The tuners, bridge and saddle appear original. The bridge pins are replaced. Some of the braces appear to be re-glued in spots. There is a repair made to the lower right bought. The binding near the repair has been repaired and partially replaced.

There are scratches along the back and sides as seen in the pictures. Other than that, the top board is in very good condition. The neck is straight and frets are in very good condition.

A soft-shell guitar bag is included.
