The Gsellmann Winery

Not far from Lake Neusiedl lies the town of Gols, a well-known wine-growing region and the headquarters of the Matthias & Ilse Gsellmann winery.

On 16 hectares of vineyards in the best locations throughout Gols, Halbturn, and Jois, wine-grower Matthias conducts the natural fermentation process of grapes and guarantees the highest quality of noble “Gsellmann Drops”.

Crucial for the success of our wines is the careful work in the vineyards, which provides us with physiologically perfect, fully-ripened grapes.

70% of the matured wines are red and will win you over with their thick structure and fruity character.

We vinify a regional diversity of powerful red wines, such as Blauer Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Amongst our white wines you can find varieties like Chardonnay, Traminer and Welschriesling. In the area of “Prädikat” wines, sweet wines are vinified based on availability. The particular vintage determines the intensity of its sugar and fruit.

You can find the winery Gsellmann on international fairs, wine tastings in the winery in Gols as well as on various private and public events everywhere in Austria.
