According to 90min, Manchester City are considering a double swoop for Borussia Dortmund wonderkids Erling Braut Håland and Giovanni Reyna.

The report states that Pep Guardiola’s side are thinking of submitting a total package worth over £100 million to land the two Bundesliga prodigies.

City are said to be determined to win the race for Håland – we’ve previously covered the Premier League outfit’s interest in the 7-cap Norway international here.

In that respect, let’s focus on Reyna.

90min say that City are thinking of signing the 18-year-old, before loaning him back to Borussia Dortmund for one more season.

The 2-cap USA international’s father, Claudio Reyna, played for City from 2003 to 2007, and his son could soon follow in his footsteps.

So, what type of player is the teenager?

Well, the Bundesliga’s official website said he plays a bit like Brazil legend Kaká.

They cite his ability to run at top speed for extended periods, and his knack of arriving in the box to score goals, as comparable traits to the former AC Milan maestro.

In 31 appearances this season, the youngster has four goals and six assists.

Håland has also lavished praise on his teammate and friend.

The 20-year-old said he calls Reyna the ‘American Dream’ and believes his fellow Borussia Dortmund star can go right to the very top.

ESPN quote Håland as saying: “He’s 17-and-a-half soon, so in such a young age to be so calm on the ball and play for such a big team, it’s very fascinating to see how calm he is and he doesn’t care about anything, he just jumps right into it.”

If City can land both players, they will undoubtedly have two of Europe’s brightest gems within their ranks – the pair are superstars of the future.
