What extracurricular activities have you been involved with during high school? Peer Leaders (president), Student Council (president), Class Officer, Marching Band, Pep Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, 7 a.m. Show Choir, Acapella Choir, Madrigal, Play, Musicals, Band Council, Publications, Newspaper editor, Forensics, Key Club, Educational Assistant, Wisconsin Leadership Seminar representative, Honor Roll, Student Mentor, and Big Brothers Big Sisters

What is one academic accomplishment about which you feel particularly good? One academic accomplishment I am proud of is being on the honor roll all quarters of my high school career. I am involved heavily in many clubs and work outside of school, and being on honor roll paid off for all the late-night studying and paper-writing I did.

What advice do you have for those just starting their high school career? My advice for students starting their high school career is to get involved! High school can be the best years of your life, if you get involved in sports and clubs. You will get to meet so many students, including upperclassmen, and create a friendship with them that could last a lifetime. Lastly, enjoy every minute of it, because the next four years will fly by.

What are your plans after high school? I will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh to be studying psychology and education to earn a master’s degree in school counseling.

What would you like to be doing 10 years from now? I picture myself working in a small community as a middle school counselor. I hope to be happily married with healthy children and a dog.

Teacher recommendation: "In a culture that is known for being selfish, there are some exceptions. Emily Leisch is selfless; she thinks nothing of going the extra mile to make another’s day better. When I see Emily, I see a girl that is always smiling, and that smile and positivity is contagious. She is just about the kindest and most compassionate person you will ever meet. Emily’s 'I can' attitude in the classroom and extra-curriculars is tireless and makes her a leader role model to her peers." — Stacy Drinkwine, English teacher
