04’ Defenseman Saxen Robertson commits to Broncos for 2023/24 Season

The Humboldt Broncos are happy to announce that Saxen Robertson (04) has committed to playing for the Broncos for the 2023/24 SJHL season.

Robertson, a St. Louis, MO, USA native, competed this season with the Ohio Blue Jackets U18 AAA program where he collected 14 points (2g, 12a) in 22 regular season games played.

“Saxen is a smooth skating D-man who we believe has a really high ceiling, a ton of upside, and can be an excellent puck mover and activate in the rush. He’s got the traits that we look for in a new-aged defenseman, while also taking care of his own end and winning battles. In our conversations, he was very excited and wanted to be a Humboldt Bronco. That’s what we love to see when we’re recruiting,” said Head Coach and GM Scott Barney.

Robertson is listed at 6’1, 195lbs.

He spent his minor hockey in the northeast playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite U14 and U15 AAA programs, and at South Kent School for his U16 AAA season where he was third in the league in defensive scoring with 42 points (21g-21a) in 36 GP.

The Humboldt Broncos and the City of Humboldt would like to welcome Saxen and his family to the organization and community.
