The new Lycosa keyboard would appear to be somewhat similar to Razer's last keyboard, the sexy Tarantula (review), similarly styled in glossy black with full blue backlighting. Apparent differences include the Lycosa's non-slip rubber finish on the actual keys, and the ability to program macros or custom commands to each and every key. The Lycosa will also feature familiar Razer technologies like the 1000-Hz Ultrapolling sampling technology that allows for 1-ms response time and finely tuned anti-ghosting capabilities. The Lycosa is set to launch in November for $79.99.
Razer also premiered the Piranha gaming headset, a headphone and mic combo designed for Counter Strike fanatics and any other game that requires solid voice communication. The integrated mic features adjustable noise-cancelling tech to eliminate background distractions, and a dedicated mic-mute button on the in-line control dongle can summon a moment of silence when owners need to shout about how much their team sucks. Razer states that the audio quality of its headphone drivers will deliver "superior clarity and deep bass tones for discerning gamers requiring superior audio fidelity." Owners will at least look cool, as the Razer logos on the ear-cups glow in blue, just like Razer mice and keyboards. The Piranha headset will launch this month, priced at $79.99.
