Manchester City have failed in their audacious bid to lure Brazilian star Kaka to the Premier League.

The English side are understood to have offered AC Milan more than €100m for the player.

However, the deal was rejected last night, with Italian Prime Minister and AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi saying last night that the midfielder is not for sale at any price.

Meanwhile, Man City have suffered a further blow this morning with the news that Robinho has left the club's training camp in Tenerife.

No reason has been given for the departure and officials are refusing to comment on speculation that the Brazilian has stormed out and returned to South America.
