Stay in a lovely little village just a 30-minute walk from the city of Innsbruck. Aldrans lies at the foot of Patscherkofel mountain in the south of Innsbruck. In the Middle Ages, the salt road passed through this area on its way to the town of Hall in Tirol. The village has an industrious cultural history, especially when it comes to amateur theatre. The "Martinsspiele" performances date back to around 1850 and the village was also home to a so-called "Amazonentheater", which only allowed women to perform.

St Martin's Church and the Devil's Mill

If you are in Aldrans, be sure to visit St Martin's Church and the Devil's Mill. The old mill is shrouded in legend and can be reached on a leisurely hike.

Leisurely hikes in summer

Aldrans is also a good starting point for a hike along the Zirbenweg trail from Patscherkofel to Glungezer. The trail passes through old Swiss stone pine forests at an altitude of 2,000 metres above sea level and doesn't include any big inclines.
