The Milwaukee County Zoo announced the birth of another adorable red panda -- and it's a girl!

The Milwaukee County Zoo announced a baby red panda was born in June. Here is the cub at 4.5 weeks old. It is the second red panda to be born at the zoo.

The Milwaukee County Zoo announced Wednesday that another cute baby was born there this summer: a red panda. 

The red panda cub was born June 7 to mother Dr. Erin Curry and father Dash.

And it looks like adorableness is in their genes.

The cub weighed 160 grams (about 5.6 ounces) at two days old. Its most recent recorded weight was 1,192 grams (about 2.6 pounds) at 46 days old.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to enjoy the baby's cuteness yet. The cub and mother will stay out of sight until September. 

The cub probably hasn't had a chance to see how cute it is either. The cubs are blind for about a month after birth, and red panda mothers keep cubs hidden in nests for the first two to three months. 

The zoo announced the baby animal's birth on social media Wednesday.

"Zookeepers say the cub is doing a lot of sleeping and eating. AND is adorable and perfect!" the post said. 

On Thursday, the zoo announced on Instagram that the baby red panda is a girl. 

The cub's name is still TBD.

The cub's sister, Dr. Lily, was the first red panda to be born at the Milwaukee County Zoo. She was born June 6, 2018, and has since been transferred to the Nashville Zoo. 

Both Dr. Lily and the mom, Dr. Erin, were named after the veterinarians that detected the red pandas before each was born.
