At the gates of Innsbruck lie the magnificent Sellrainer and Stubaier Alps with their mighty peaks. The Sellrainer Huettenrunde takes you to the most beautiful vantage points and the most rustic huts in the mountains in seven days. Challenging at times, this long hike takes you along clear mountain streams and over exposed ridges to over 9842 feet (3000 meters) above sea level. You will often have the dreamlike landscape to yourself.

The panoramic adventure starts in the tranquil Sellrain. From Innsbruck, you can easily reach the village by bus line 4166. The seven stages alternate between tranquil valleys, high alpine passes and unique summit climbs. In the Luesenstal valley, you will find wide alpine pastures and colourful meadows with grazing herds of cows. From the Schoentalspitze, the highest point of the Sellrainer Huettenrunde, you can enjoy stunning views. It's up to you how many peaks you want to climb: you can easily plan further ascents along the way. You will spend the nights in cozy and modern huts that serve Tyrolean delicacies. We recommend booking in advance.

For the ascent of the Sellrainer Huettenrunde, don't forget your weatherproof equipment and surefootedness. High up in the Sellrainer Alps, conditions can change quickly even in summer. Some stages are a bit longer so you will need enough water and food for these, which you can get from the huts. The last section between Kuehtai and Sellrain can also be shortened by post bus. The best time for these routes is between the end of June and the end of September, outside of these dates you can expect snow. Come prepared and seven days of untouched high mountain nature and fantastic views await you on the Sellrainer Huettenrunde .-
